From a young age I was heavily fascinated by the concept of business and the strategic planning it involves. At the age of 17 I began a small website and software development practice - iLLusive Design, Inc. ("iD"). I use the word "practice" because at that time it was a very small operation with only 3 "employees", and a non registered business. After a year or so of sorting out the unknowns with that practice I had decided to federally incorporate and begin hiring and building clientele.
In the early stages of my web development firm I was in college for business administration and marketing. To be completely honest I found schooling, or perhaps that particular school/program, to be a complete waste of my time and, without being arrogant, beneath me. I spent most of my days tutoring and assisting other students by request of the professors. I don’t know, but for some reason when I think of paying to go to college it’s just not ideal to spend most of my time teaching and giving presentations during lectures rather than learning.
One day I woke up and decided that I was done with it all and left school to fully peruse what I knew best (my business). Oddly enough I only required 3 more courses to complete the 3 year program, but when I make a decision I never hesitate to act on it and never have regrets.
After 5 years of operation of iD I had built a strong clientele, a team of 24 employees, and a consistent revenue stream/growth. In April 2009 I had decided that I wanted to go in a different direction after being in the website development, online marketing and software industry for over 7 years. During my time with iD I had helped launch hundreds of successful business concepts in the online world in all sorts of industries.
In May 2009 I had sold the corporation and began a new path in business and lifestyle consulting, and in the process launched a few small business “side-projects” which I operate to date.
In early 2009 I had began an online social networking project/business which I later sold in a profitable and mutually benificial agreement between myself and the purchaser.
In the first few months of 2010 I began a new Advertising, Marketing and Ambient Media company "Evolve Thought | Media Group". With many years experience in this type of industry and plenty of colleagues, affiliates and media partners the company had taken off quite rapidly.
In short, I’ve owned and operated a handful of small to medium sized businesses, currently represent the sale of quite a few businesses, and I'm currently a private business consultant and executive of an up and coming Advertising/Marketing Firm in Toronto. I have built my business network up substantially over the years and have made hundreds of strong, essential, contacts to assist my clients with their operations and my own.
